Third Annual Young Family Girls' Weekend- June 2006: McCall, Idaho

This year, girls' weekend was held in McCall, Idaho at Hearthstone. Of all the girls' weekend locations, this place was the nicest. We were a small group this year, but we still had a great time. Kara flew into Boise from Spokane since she was living in Coeur d'Alene and I (Alicia) flew into Boise from Portland, since I live in Salem. Robin and Phyllis drove over from Phyllis' in Vancouver. We all meet at Debby's home and drove up to McCall.

The first night we enjoyed fondue, provided by Debby and Kerry. Saturday we enjoyed a wonderful tea/brunch provided by our very own tea expert, Robin. Later that day we went into McCall and did some shopping. The evening was a relaxing time of napping and watching a movie.

Second Annual Young Family Girls' Weekend- June 2005: Washougal, Washington

2nd Annual Girls' Weekend was held at The Woods in Washougal, Washington. This was a large kit home that a lady (Starla) owned. She rented the home out to groups and provided meals for the entire stay. Since that time, she has sold the home, so we will not be able to stay there for any girls' weekend trips in the future.

This year Kerry flew home to Boise from Chicago, as she was attending Wheaton College, then she drove from Boise to Washougal with Debby. Kara flew home from Kansas, as she was attending Mid America Nazarene University in Kansas. The rest of us, living in the area, meet at Phyllis' place and carpooled up to The Woods.

We had a fun time playing games and watching movies. I believe everyone would agree that we had the best time playing BUNKO. This was a first for the Young family girls and we never knew grandma had such a competitive side. We took lots of great pictures of each immediate family that make up the Young family girls and, once again, we had a blast taking our group photo with the giant sunglasses.
